Well today is my birthday and I'm off out for run 1 week 1. I'm 53, overweight, unfit and never run before so here's hoping I get through it lol!

Well I've been out and made a start. Didn't quite make all the running but managed the first 2 x 60 seconds then 1x 50 seconds and 2 x 40 seconds but couldn't manage the last run. Not too unhappy though as at least I managed a good bit of it. Roll on Tuesday and hopefully I will get that last run done too!!

Well done for getting going with this! It really does work, and you sound like you have the right attitude - focus on all the positives and the success you have achieved already, doing something you've never done before! Mental attitude is half the battle I think. You will definitely be able to do it. I started last summer at the age of 51 and graduated at the end of October. If I can do it, anybody can - believe me! Good luck.

Good start; you'll be amazed the difference a few weeks will make. The satisfaction you'll get when you complete all the runs in week one will be immense :)

I'm am 50, and was also unfit and never ever run before I started the c25k in October and there are many of us here in the same boat. This is a great programme to follow. It works.
