Quick follow-on re enjoying running

Thank you all who responded to my post about how I could enjoy my ( very slow) jog a bit more. Wow, you really made a difference. Went out today and used all the things you recommended (smile, tell myself ‘I’m loving this!’, go even slower, look around, relax shoulders etc etc). And it worked, although the inclines were still a bit tiring I was certainly less breathless and not begging Steve to tell me my 25 minutes were over!

Thank you, I will build on this for future jogs.😀

Really happy that you're enjoying it more. If we could come over and flatten the hills for you I'm sure we would :)

That’s so nice to hear, not only that your running was a bit more pleasurable, but to know that the forum helped that happen. X

Yes yes yes you really can enjoy this we don’t all become speedy but if you are out there doing it you will improve slowly and in a much better way than pounding yourself into the pavement .
