Really starting to quite enjoy this though going from 90 secs to 3 mins running next week is a bit daunting. However, so many encouraging comments on here that I will trust the process. Still look a bit of a state gear wise when I'm out so will treat myself to some decent leggings after I complete week 5. Have a great weekend all 😘
Week 2 done: Really starting to quite enjoy this... - Couch to 5K
Week 2 done
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 2, trust the program, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K, once you have completed run 3 of week 5 I hope you will enjoy running in your new leggings.
A small treat is a great idea... and well done you. Slow, and steady as you go... trust the plan and have confidence in yourself !
Believe you can and you are halfway there!
Just read your post, it resonates, I've also finished week 2 and am wondering how the jump to three minutes will feel. About to find out, literally about to go out the door, my odd assemblage of running gear is disguised by proper running jacket and waterproof trousers bought in the sales. I work as a gardener so going out in weatherproof clothing is now a well & truly engraved habit! Sooner or later the shell will have to come off though, so I like the idea of treating myself to gear as I go along.
So, no more procrastinating, here goes, week 3 run1, ....... good luck with yours!
How did it go?
ok, definitely do-able, looking forward to doing it again on Monday. I thought I'd find the second three minute interval difficult but by then the track was wider & level so actually easier. Could maybe carried on running but I'm sticking to the programme, slow & steady, still find it difficult to believe I'll be running 30 minutes in seven weeks time though - time will tell.
That's great. Well done. I completely understand - 30 mins when we're talking about 90 secs and 3 minutes seems a bit of a stretch. Good fun though. Enjoy 😊
Like you say - trust the program, keep it steady- you can definitely do this! Good luck! 🙂
Best of luck - it may seem daunting, but the program really works. Slow and steady worked for me (I learned the hard way by pushing myself too hard in Week 3 and pinged my calf, which set me back for a fortnight).
I remember feeling daunted at the change to Week 3 - six weeks after my restart, I am now running 5k (which takes me a bit longer than 30 minutes) You will be amazed by how quickly you build up your endurance, just don't try to go to fast!
you are doing so well…!! Who cares what you’re wearing, whatever you’ve got on, even if you look like you’ve fallen through a wardrobe, doesn’t matter a jot!!! What matters is you…and what you’re doing…and that you’re enjoying it…and you clearly are
