Week #2 done?? Or not?!

Had a really flat day yesterday and wandered about most of the day with no energy, hugging a hot water bottle! Felt better this morning so went for my 3rd week #2 run. I made it and it was ok but harder than my other two runs earlier this week. Even my walks were slow! Now I’m a bit nervous about moving on to week #3 runs on Sunday as planned. I’d be more confident about it if today had been as enjoyable as my two previous runs. Do I go for it with week #3 (worried about putting myself off) or stick with week #2 (and potentially never move on!)?!

It sounds like you might have been under the weather, so finishing the run, even slowly, has prepared you for the next one.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Another useful article, thank you. Guess I’ll plan for my first week #3 run on Sunday, look after myself in between and see how I feel on Sunday!

Week 3 consolidates what you did in week 2. There's exactly the same amount of actual running, but two of the six run sections from week 2 are joined together to make four runs in week 3. It's also the shortest overall session in the whole of C25K.

Enjoy!

PS. If the weather is particularly bad on Sunday, call it an extra rest day. 😉

Hi I was thinking twice about this mornings run with the wet weather but set off anyway. Got wet through and really enjoyed the run. Nice hot shower then a bowl of of hot porridge with fruit and cinnamon. Well worth getting wet. Good luck for Sunday we all have days that we don't feel like it. Hope you feel better soon.

Definitely sounds like you’re coming down with summet D25K ...lots of things can affect our performance and feeling under the weather is certainly one of them...rest yourself until you feel better, you’ll soon be back on top form I’m sure 👏🏻
