First nanny run!

Well, after an eventful few days I am a nanny! I am already smitten with our new grandson 💙

When I’m not working I have offered to be the relief cavalry so the new parents can get some rest - how quickly we forget those sleep deprived first few weeks! 😳

So I did a quick short run with Ebony this morning - fortunately the horrendous winds have died down and it’s sunny so it wasn’t too bad. I wish I had thought a bit more about the weather as it was so mild - I completely overdressed!

She’s yet to meet the new arrival but she did some serous sniffology of our clothes when we got back last night- so hopefully she will be familiar with his smell when she does. 🐶 I do see lots of parents running with buggies so maybe I could do dog and buggy 🤔 any top tips here gratefully appreciated

I hope everyone is safe and well after the latest storm, I’m off to brush up on my nappy changing skills … it’s been a while …🤣

Aw, that’s lovely news! Congratulations Nanny Hettie!!

What to wear is so hard at the moment. I went out when it was 2oC and ended up boiling. Layers are key! Hopefully it’s a nice problem to have-far better than ice!!

Thank you ☺️

Yeah absolutely, definitely a nicer consideration than if it’s safe in the ice! I’m always running hot anyway so I rarely wear more than two layers, I shouldn’t have been so concerned about the wind and left my windproof jacket at home! I hate having to tie anything round my waist as I already have the harness.

It’s early days and we’ll probably get another cold snap but it certainly feels a bit more spring like this morning 🤞🏼

🍏Congratulations Nanny! How delightful! We look forward to following the Nanny runs. Personally I can’t wait for an Ebony & pram photo ☺️ … Well our winds are still blowing here up North and cold but I agree with Miss U anything except ice! Glad you managed a quick, short run to celebrate! 🙌

Congratulations Nanny Hettie! Enjoy your nanny duties, so exciting. Definitely layers for running at the moment. We seem to have missed the worst of the storm and just had a cold wind this morning. I layered up too much as well however I didn't warm up enough before starting to run and my 30 minutes was a struggle. Will I ever learn? 😂Take care with a dog and a buggy; we look forward to the photos.
