hey I’m back!! 2 bouts of Covid later I might add, the first at beginning of Feb and the second just in time for my birthday June 24th🙄. But I have been running mainly throughout and my daughter has started again now so that’s good. She’d got depressed when she had to move away for work and leave her little cat with me, then put weight on and didn’t feel like running but now she is back living down her and running with a vengeance. We have both managed to lose some lockdown weight and are running regularly again.

I run alternate days and she runs when she can around her work.

So this morning I went out to do 5k and it was such a beautiful morning that after about 2k. Thought I would carry on and make it 10!!! Seemed a good idea at the time but then it got hotter … and hotter and by the time I finished I was melting and really light headed. I’d eaten well yesterday and was well hydrated and slept well but I think maybe I should have taken some water with me. I never do when it’s 10k or less as I hate carrying anything but this weather is something else so maybe I ought to while it’s hot. Ive refuelled now so feeling a lot better

The river was looking really low and the Canada Geese we’re trying to find enough to paddle in. (Don’t know why we call them that now as they don’t seem to go home anymore, just live in the Taw all year round, and seem to have replaced our swans that the Taw was famous for ). I must start getting up earlier to run again as it was too hot for me really. But then looking at the forecast it’s going to be about 14/15 degrees at the coolest overnight so that’s still pretty warm for me.

Garmin had a funny little glitch as I was starting off though which made me chuckle when I was looking at my stats. Apparently at one point I was running at 146 mph!!! Only very briefly though until it settled down 😂😂😂

just chillin’ now in the garden with my tabby girl on the other sunlounger

Welcome back Limberlou, running at 146mph, wow🏃‍♀️😂, sorry about you getting 2 bouts of Covid, well done on running that 10K, ha, not at that speed but nevertheless at a nice steady pace despite the heat, the weather forecast is for temperatures in most of England to be 30+C for the next 8 days so if you are running again, do it around 6 or 7 in the morning. Enjoy chilling in your garden with tabby girl.

Welcome back… 146 mph will definitely attract the attention of WADA, maybe slow it a little 🤣

Great to hear you’ve kept going through some tough times and that your daughter is back on it
