Well it took all of my willpower but I did it! I dropped my daughter off at Cubs and went out by myself after a long day at work in the dark and I did the first run!
It was hard but I kept the pace slow and I felt so proud of myself when I got home! Looking forward to the next run and hoping this will get easier but I know it takes time! Just can’t imagine I’ll ever be able to do a sustained run especially 5km but I’m giving it my best shot!

In my opinion, you've just completed the hardest run of the hardest week!
Dont worry about aiming for 5k. That's something for way into the future. Just take it nice and slow and focus on duration.

Wow you did great, our first run nearly killed us and had us bent double gasping for breath, that was last early summer and i ran 6k and Willow ran 5k in Boxing day, it can be done and you have completed the hardest run
