A little delayed posting this one as I did this run yesterday evening.
Finished work and headed for treadmill because I knew my youngest daughter was calling round, obviously just to collect cheesecake.
The warm up walk went really quickly, I started jogging and before I knew it, I was halfway through the 28 minutes and Laura is suggesting I go a little faster, obviously, I did.
Then the final 5 minutes, I did slow back down a little but for the last couple of minutes I increased speed again and for the last minute, I turned the treadmill up to sprint and finished on a high.
Another run really enjoyed.
Leg day at the gym today, plus I have another PT session tomorrow evening for the whole body, so I've decided to push R3 to Saturday evening (hoping I can walk, never mind jog).
Happy running everyone.

A couple of weeks of 30 minutes 3 times a week and then possibly:
Run 1: Outdoor run, using W5 R1 & 2 and W6 R1 & 2 to build up outdoor running and learn to pace myself.
Run 2: Shorter, faster run, aiming for doing W5 R3 at my target 5k speed (30 minutes)
Run 3: Long slow run, using my current speed that I've been running the program on again.
I have found my ParkRun wristband again, I will be doing at least a couple in the next 3-4 months (see how it goes with the outdoor transition runs first before I decide when I'm doing my first one).
Longer term, 10k, not sure whether to use the JuJu plan or the NRC one.
π€ I love Ju Ju personally & started on that a few years ago. I discovered NRC more recently & the new 10k plan is very tempting! Ju Ju gives the S & F option & helps you reach a 10k target . NRC helps with speed runs .. & is getting you race ready
Not bothered about racing, years ago when I did ParkRun on Christmas day for charity it kind of took the fun out of the running, hard to explain really plus it sounds really selfish.
I run/jog/joffle for me and I enjoy it, the feeling I was or am doing it for others seemed to diminish the enjoyment I got from it.
I'm not a selfish person, really I'm not, borderline narcissist (according to my youngest daughter) but not selfish.
For 10k you can't go wrong with the JuJu magic plan, but I don't know about NRC, it seems to be recommended by lots of people but I haven't tried it myself
I did look at the JuJu magic plan about 4-5 years back when I was running previously and, possibly foolishly, decided I'd just push myself to run further one day a week. The problem then came that I was probably pushing too hard, too fast.
Plus the extra weight I was carrying didn't help.
I'll complete the program, do some consolidation runs and then take another look at it.
