Quick Reminder:
What is Consolidation?
It’s recommended that when we finish C25K we keep up the routine of running 30mins 3x a week for a few weeks. It strengthens both your body and your mind without any pressure to do more. A time of adjustment to think about what’s next and to fix the habit of getting out there and running. 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️

great advice and good articles to read through. I'm just starting on my consolidation runs 1st 5km after graduation done this morning, felt a bit strange not having Jo in my ears lol but was a lovely run in the crisp sunshine..actually dare I say it..enjoyed it 😊
Im back to Pilates and yoga classes this week after the Christmas break..I like to combine those with running feel it helps me...still very much a beginner
Have a great week everyone. Heather
Forgot to say about why I started running at the time (first graduated 6years ago) it was to set a target to become a runner before I turned 50 etc but then I became unwell and then covid hit and then 50 passed on by and I was still unwell I just couldn't run as I found it difficult to breathe and was just generally unwell.
1 year ago I had my partial thyroidectomy and it did take much longer to feel ready to get going again with everything not just sport.
So Sept 23 I felt ready to try Pilates and yoga as a gentle way back in, feeling good I restarted c25k in Nov and haven't looked back!
I have a new lease of life and feel ready to see where running can take me, mentally for me it's so nice to head out and feel the sun on my face but more likely the wind and rain but still feels nice, running past nature and just taking in my surroundings...even though I sometimes don't want to go I know I will feel better afterwards...
🍏Thanks for the chat Heather & oh so pleased to hear about your yoga & Pilates. Will really support your running!
👏Well done on your first consolidation run and lovely to hear you enjoyed it!! For me that was the time I really and truly started to relax and the truth hit home that I was a real runner 🤣
Look forward to hearing about your future plans in a week or two when you have had a chance to look at all the articles!
🍏Thanks for adding in that edited version! What a great story you have.. I love hearing why people start running! For me it was doing a Park Run with my sister.. we walked it but I wondered what it would like to run. Then came lock down! I had the beach to myself and did a secret run.. it was weird.. I googled How to run & up popped C25K & the rest is history 🤣
🍏Congratulations! Wahoo 🎶🤩 🙌 🥳 It’s an incredible achievement & that feeling of elation at having done it, stays with you for days! Please do collect your badge. You worked hard for it!!
Happy consolidating! Look forward to any comments you may have about your running journey! We love reading each others stories & we learn and inspire one another!
Nothing like a run to warm us up & energise us. I am going for one right now! I will tag you on next week’s chat. Thanks so much for popping in 🙂
