Hi Oldfloss, I feel so happy (positively buzzing in fact) to be able to request my graduation badge after completing week 9 #3 this lovely sunny morning.
I will stay in touch and definitely keep on running.
So today I finally achieved Week 9 Run 3 and would love my badge please. Its been a long and winding road through PF/tendonitis. What have I learnt? To listen to my body and not to overdo it. From my wife and now running partner I’ve learnt to run more slowly and from me she has been encouraged to get out and join me. So all in all a win win and very pleased to say its now become part of our regular exercise regimen.
Hello Oldfloss! I am still buzzing from completing my final run an hour ago! Am looking forward to a bubble bath to ease the muscles followed by a glass of something a little stronger than cordial! I have derived so much support not to mention tips and general solidarity from the message board. Thanks for everything xx
it’s funny how it feels like I am running with lots of buddies even though I actually do the runs alone..something I have preferred probably as I haven’t wanted anyone to see me! But visiting the message board before and after runs…usually reading rather than posting…creates a rather lovely connection to a community of people rooting for each other xx
We always say... you may run on your own... but you are never alone... because yes, we do run together and we do support each other through every level.
Do share your runs as you move on and do please pop into the Catch Up Corner too, as well as Graduates Chat... you will get to know runners, even long distance and the friendship get stronger !
Hi Oldfloss, delighted to be requesting my Graduation badge and I will 100% be checking out the other forums and the consolidation & strength training plan. Just what I need to help me in the next stage of this wonderful journey that I'm on!!
If I was to do an acceptance speech the thank yous would include Josh Clark, Denise Lewis, Roots Manuva (and all the other recording artists who kept me company) and last but not least - everyone who liked, commented, encouraged and advised on here.
A genuinely supportive community, I’ll wear the badge with pride.
I graduated! W9R3 yesterday, light snow falling around me, slow (very slow!) and steady throughout - it was magical! Can't wait for tomorrow when I get to run again 😍
