Hi, Iβve just completed W9R3 and wonder how you get a trophy certificate?
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I graduated a couple of weeks ago but I'm going to start the programme from scratch again this coming week. It's probably not the best thing to do but I'm interested in comparing my times/distances to the first. Should I wait until I've graduated again (March) or can I get it now?
Hello, I graduated today. Could I have a badge please? I didn't manage 5K but am still pleased. I have never been very sporty or agile so wouldn't have believed I could do it!
I used to just say to people 'I can't run. Now I can!! π
I did it final run on the programme completed this afternoon. Bit slower than normal as lack of childcare meant o was running with my little man in the pushchair but I completed it none the less and feeling super proud of myself. Upwards and onwards ready for my first Park Run this weekend!
Thanks. My little man is 17 weeks old and my hubby works away a lot so I decided when I started on the plan that I couldn't use lack of childcare as an excuse not to get out. Whilst it's definitely more difficult when he's with me it's not as difficult as I thought it would be before I started doing it - though not so easy with my 3 year old in the pram!
After a few hard days at work I really didn't feel like a run but after a decent cup of coffee and a bit of motivational chat from my daughter I ventured out into the drizzle.
32mins later and I have 4.8km and my final run of the programme week9 run3 in the bag.
Chuffed to bits to go from a total anti running cyclist to actually running for 30mins non stop.
Now I wont admit it is easy, far from it in fact and I believe a lot of work is yet to come.
Is it enjoyable? During Hell no, but afterwards the buzz of completing a run is getting addictive.
Long may I hopefully continue, my goals from here on in are to run a sub 30min 5k and hopefully progress to a 10k.
Thanks NHS Couch to 5k, it definitely has got me off the couch.
Dear Iannoda, I completed my week 9 run 3 this morning and would love a graduation badge, please. Thank you so much for all the support and encouragement I have received from you and all the other wondeerful people on this lovely forum.
Good morning Iβve finally got round to this!! I completed couch to 5k back in November and am continuing to run W9R3 since. Please can I have my βGraduateβ badge π
I completed the programme on 2 Jan. I've checked out the post C25k links and will check out the Consolidation Club. Thanks to all who help manage this useful forum.
Hi I graduated with my third week 9 run yesterday. Thank you very much for the forum, it has been very useful. I think it may be even more useful now I donβt have the simple structure of the c25k podcasts to follow.
I would like to request a Graduation badge - although I've never used the Couch to 5km app, so I hope that I can still request one? I have run the 5km distance a few times in the past few years, but normally I do about 4.5km distance, on cliff-paths. Probably once or twice a week, and occasionally I don't manage to run at all in a week, but I am forever trying to achieve at least one run per week, and when I do it, I enjoy it!
I've posted in the Consolidation Club just now, but realise I should come over here to request a Graduation Badge, hence I'm here.
Hi, I have replied to you on the Consolidation Club post, explaining that the badge is awarded for completion of the training plan, not for running 5k.
I have the proud news that I completed w9 r3 today and feel really invigorated! I am approaching 50 and literally went from the couch to an office chair to the couch then bed. It really does what it states it does and, lets face it most products don't!Big up to all who continue to battle and the administrators of the site who provide coaching. Can I have my badge? π
Hello! Thanks to this amazing community forum, I can confirm that I ran week 9 run 3 today. So please could I have a little graduate icon. Thank you again. It is a very motivating set up.
Wow I actually did it!!! I graduated last Monday, hooray, and have repeated week 9 again to keep me on track! Thank you for all the support, so nice to read people's experiences and learn from each other. The encouragement on this programme is amazing. Well done to everyone on it, wherever you may be on the journey. I'm still only jogging just over 3km plus the warm up and down, but that is a lot more than I was doing before... What a great way to start 2020! Thanks again
So pleased to have completed week 9 last night. Iβll be checking out the consolidation club next. Itβs been great reading about other peopleβs experiences. Iβve had a couple of weeks off on my journey due to minor niggles but got there in the end π
Having stopped playing sports years ago, was feeling like i should get moving.. W1 R1 looked pretty easy really but was shocked at how difficult it actually was - and it highlighted my fitness level right there.
I had a few breaks along the way due to illness but have happily kept going and been surprised at the invigorating lift after each run.. finally completed, and on with consolidation runs aiming for a Parkrun in a few weeks.
Not posted before but read and encouraged by the forum support so big thanks to the whole community. Inspiring and practical. Peace.
Hi, I've been using the C25k app having never been able to run in my life before!!! I was doing more than 3 runs a week so I got through it in 3 weeks and skipped a few runs, but I am now running 5ks and working through the 10k trainer. Do I still qualify? Have Strava evidence
Hi , I've completed the c25k . Today I ran week 9 run 3 . How do I get the badge and certificate download π . The thought of a certificate will keep my son going , he,s on week 4 only 11yr old. Any tips on where I go from here . Thanks
I completed Week 9 Run 3 yesterday having started at the beginning of lockdown, 3 weeks out because I pulled my back doing beginners yoga! Iβm 67 and although I completed the London Marathon ( in just under 7 hours) when I was 60, a series of minor surgeries put paid to running for years. So, I feel Iβm back on track thanks to Laura. I will continue as havenβt done 5k yet, probably about 4.7 and canβt wait for Parkrun to restart.
