Congratulations to you! Hope there have been some big celebrations. You’ve done brilliantly

Why not pop in to the Graduates’ Club and tell us what you’ve got planned as you continue….

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Just something to think about is that it’s usually a good idea to keep rest days between runs as a newer runner to reduce your risk of injury.

Well done again!

thanks Miss U x it’s weigh in tonite but I will be having an ice cream tomorrow and my lovely slimming world consultant has said she will award me with my Platinum body magic certificate tonight ( you get this when exercise has become a regular everyday part of your life) so that’s the icing on the cake ( which I may have at the weekend ha ha xx)

MissUnderstanding profile image
MissUnderstandingAdministratorOn a breakGraduate in reply toPenwithpink

That’s so brilliant! You’ve most certainly earned that certificate-you’ve clearly got the running bug! That will take you to some really exciting places!

I’ve found although I haven’t lost weight running, it does motivate me to eat better to support the runs. The combination of exercise and eating well is such a powerful one for feeling healthy and positive!

Graduated 2 weeks ago only now getting round to requesting my badge. Lying about because I've got a nasty cough keeping me awake the past two nights so sadly can't face a Sunday run. I'm not sure if I'm making this up, out of minor delirium, but did someone on this forum advise regarding lurgies - if its above the neck you can run/ if it's below the neck you shouldn't 🤔 🤒😷🤧

MissUnderstanding profile image
MissUnderstandingAdministratorOn a breakGraduate in reply toCredenceRainyDay

Congratulations to you! I’ve given you your badge now-I hope you’re feeling well enough to celebrate. Coughs are so draining. If you’re feeling under the weather, above or below the neck, you’re always best prioritising recovery. There’s a helpful article linked in an old post of mine here with questions to ask yourself when you’re thinking you might be ready to run again…

healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...

There’s no rush. Get well soon!

You might like to pop into the graduates’ club for some sympathy…

Hello everybody! Having kindly been directed by MissUnderstanding where to post my accomplishment I can now officially state that I have completed by C25K on the 21st September and since have completed 2 park runs. I must say those park runs, well especially the one I partake in here at Claytont le-moors, Lancashire can be tough going. I origiannly completed my C25K back in Summer 2020 (Lockdown!) and completed 2 10Ks but after which I started skipping runs till I was missing weeks. I kept trying to get back into runinng but only attempted around 3Ks sometimes more then dropping off again. I needed something to aim for - and C25K came to my rescue again. The first time I completed I wasn't aware of this fantastic group where you can post and read other peoples feedback and questions - its a great forum and so many people helping you out with advice and encouragement. I am continuing to focus on completing the park runs as much as I can each week and way back when I was a little bit lighter and fitter my best time was 31 minutes, this weekend I managed to at least beat my best time this year (all 3 runs!) and completed in 33 minutes. These park runs and the people involved are brilliant and long may they continue. Lastly, congratulations to everyone who have completed C25K and good luck to everyone teaching their goals! - here's hoping I can get to 10K for Christmas and run the Blackburn 10K. All the very best everyone!
