As it was -1 outside, I put on an extra layer hoping that it would be enough to keep me warm, but not too much that I got hot towards the end. Not much fear of overheating because most of the way the path was so slippery that we had to run really slowly and carefully.
By the time the 30 minutes were up, we were still quite a way from the point we finished on Monday, Sods law, the footpaths we were using on the way back were mostly frost free so we decided to do a bit of a walk/jog to make up for what was a disappointing run section. We normally have more than the 5 minute cool down walk after the run anyway.
Our last run is due on Friday and I have checked the weather and it looks to be similar to todays. I was hoping for a decent shot at it but we may have the same issue.
I suppose that's the problem with early morning running in the winter.
