Week 6 Completed I cannot believe it!!

It seems incredible that I have manage to run for 25 minutes. It does not seem that long ago that I was please with myself for completing a minute.

I am not sure if I experienced what other have written regarding the Toxic 10 or if it is just that I hit an upward section at about that point but found it hard going for a while. As I got to the end of the run I was not feeling too bad. Adding another 3 minutes to the run time on Monday sounds a lot but I have managed OK so far so hopefully it goes well.

My boyfriend/running partner is doing well too. He found a couple of the earlier runs harder than I did but he may have been unwell at the time because he seems fine now.

We have bought some chest torches as we run early when it is still dark and wore them for the first time today. The straps are reflective and there is a red light at the back so nobody can fail to see us. Or so we thought!! A lady reversed her car out of her drive today right in front of us. She wound down her window and shouted "Sorry" before speeding off but had we been a few feet further on she could have hit us. Obviously not expecting people to be around that early!

You’re doing brilliantly. Those extra three minutes will be within your grasp-just take it extra steadily and you’ll have a great run. The toxic ten isn’t much fun but at least knowing about it helps.

Enjoy your rest and have a great next run!

🍏👏Great work… yes run those first 10 mins extra slowly then the rest at an easy pace and you might have energy to give it your all at the end! The longer runs are what it’s all about & look at you both cracking them! Glad that lady didn’t hit you & a lesson to us all to not only be visible but very aware of our surroundings!
