W6R3 I did it!

I wasn't expecting 25 minutes non-stop this evening. I caught myself mentally saying no way, I can't do that, and then I went and did it anyway! This felt like a huge step up. Physically it was kind of ok, but mentally I struggled. I so want to stop at 15 minutes knowing that I had another 10 to go. Then suddenly there were only 5 minutes left and no way was I going to stop running ๐Ÿ˜€

Brilliant and celebrate that run as you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER BoxSet, onwards and upwards, not too long now until you graduate ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ‘

Brilliant! That sounds so familiar, I had exactly the same gremlins telling me to stop. Well done for ignoring them, I found they ieft me in peace after the first 25 minute run. You're over the worst now, keep it up. ๐Ÿ‘

Well done, I find the first 10 minutes is a killer but then it gets better. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Have you heard about the toxic 10? Often the first ten minutes of any run arenโ€™t great as you warm up and get used to running but it settles. Being mentally prepared for that really helps me! Thereโ€™s a post hereโ€ฆ

Great run! Enjoy the next one!

No, I hadn't come across the toxic 10 before. The explanation makes sense. Are you aware of any hacks which help to ameliorate the effects of that initial oxygen deficit?

This is a good reminder of keeping mindset in a positive place as I have my first 25min run planned for after work today and already the self doubts are creeping in. Reminding myself I can absolutely do this, slow and steady!!
