Hi, I graduated yesterday with the C25K ..... yay !! I will study the 12 week consolidation programme too and also the advice on this forum, which has been so helpful over these past few weeks.

I'm planning and building up to my first parkrun on 21 October and hoping I don't have to walk for any of it, I'd like to think I can complete it within 40mins or less, but that may be a bit ambitious !!

Thank you for everyone's advise, I was wondering where to go after the C25K, but will definitely look at the graduate forum and the 12 week consolidation programme

😅 wow, graduated this weekend, from having never run and one of those who says "I simply could not run" to running for over 30 minutes and 5k.... and most strangely - loving running. Have to say I'm feeling it in different places to where I normally ache, but being 52 I am used to aches and pains! Thank you C25K app and community!

So... Back in June when I started I didn't know when I would finish. The holidays were in the middle and I already knew I wasn't going to keep it up... but a few repetitions of previous (easier) weeks got me back on track in September and here I am, having finished my last run this rainy morning!I still think I'm going too hard (I was going to say "fast" but that would be a LIE 😅) as I'm in Zone 3 for most of the time (~75% of HRR) but if I go any slower I might as well just walk 😭

I did it this week here in Brazil! I am so proud about it! I am grateful to my daughter for her inspiration and to the NHS for providing the necessary tools for this accomplishment. This journey reminded me that no matter where you are in the world, with determination and support, it is possible to achieve your fitness goals. And now, I am ready to take on new challenges and explore more opportunities for well-being.

Hello. It was a soggy end to a beautiful relationship between Coach Cram and myself this morning but I made it over the finishing line!

Watching the YouTube video on Niko Niko running in Week 4 was the game changer for me. I realised that all the problems I had in the weeks before then was because I was trying to look like the runners I saw (fit young men bounding along at speed checking their split times) rather than being the runner I could be at that point. Slow. I mean 100m in one minute slow.

My goal is to complete my first park run to welcome the new year in. I look forward to doing it proudly wearing my virtual graduate badge.

Currently drinking my celebratory protein shake after having finished the last run of the program. From Brazil, I am sending many, many thanks to NHS and its community.

It took 7 months in total. During the first five months, I only ran twice a week and repeated many runs. I did this because I was also beginning a journey of weight training and the only time I could run was immediately after lifting. I am 38 and the only thing I did not want was to have an injury.

During the process and after posting here, I realized I was running too fast, at about 7.5 m/km (8.1 km/h). I could do 16 min, but I ended up completely exhausted. Then I found my pace at 9.23 m/km (6.5 km/h), which is slower than I walk, but I don't care anymore.

I still end up a little but too exhausted, I might consolidate in the next few weeks with some walk intervals. I will also take a look at the links and forums for graduates.

Thanks again!

Hi there,I have graduated from Couch to 5k and very keen to get the graduation badge. I understand it lets you unlock the celebration video and then obtain access to the extra runs on the couch to 5k app?

Thanks for your help,

Have loved doing it!

MissUnderstanding profile image
MissUnderstandingAdministratorGraduate in reply to HeatherErika

Congratulations on finishing! That’s a brilliant achievement and I hope you’re celebrating. The graduate badges we offer here are only for this forum-you’ll get the word “graduate” next to your name every time you post on this board. I’ve just awarded yours now so you should see it. There’s no connection with the app at all.

When you finish run 3 week 9 in the app, you should get the video and the new runs. Is that not what happened? It does seem to be a bit glitchy. Do you have the latest version of the app? My first suggestion would be to play through week 9 run 3 again and see whether that works!
