Good Morning!

Here I am! I am expecting too, to see a few folk here, as we do have some more new graduates !

Very, very well done to you! Those badges look very good!

I am here, once more, to see what is happening with the new Graduates and to try to find out where you are thinking of moving on to?

So! If you’ve finished Couch to 5k, come and say hello,

This is the place for you to share how your runs are going and to get inspiration, encouragement from others, and maybe share your own tips here too?

Plus... it will be perfectly fine for you to pop in here, if like me, you are a Graduate returning, however slowly, to the running fun! All welcome!

My week has been successful! On Sunday morning I managed Week 6 Run 2 with no problems... a glorious morning, if a bit nippy and when I head out in a moment,,, I shall be layered up again! I can always peel layers off en route! UPDATE

I am happy to say, I did Week6 Run 3 this morning and despite thick fog and chilly air, I loved it ! No stripping off though!

Okay...a quick word here about moving on...We do advise that some consolidation happens after you graduate... there are a few links on past Chat posts and I am putting a link to a post written a while ago. Do take a read.. there are some useful pointers there, although the ideas of moving on have evolved quite a lot!

The main thing is... don't be in too much of a hurry to go too far, too fast... get some runs in and mix them up... 30 minutes, shorter and if you feel like it, try for a slow relaxed 5K. Mix the routes up room if you are able... always good fun! The main thing is stay safe, injury free and simply run for the pure joy of being able to!

⭐️Now...

How has your running been this week? What sorts of runs have you been doing? Successes, or setbacks? What are your plans for this brand new week? If you have only just graduated, you may be feeling a tad lost... so, just have a gentle look around and see what you fancy!

So we need to know...I need to know, what are you all up to? Have you a plan in mind... are you consolidating, if you are, how are you choosing to do that?

Do tell..!

Chat Challenge

I am, despite limited replies to the challenges , going to set one for this last week in October !

I and all of us here, would love to know, what was the absolute best moment ( or minutes) of your running from the Couch... to the graduation Podium ?

Simple as that ! What was the best bit!!!

Call in and let us know , please !

Am I allowed to comment on the challenge as an old graduate ? For me the best bit of the journey was W5R3- absolutely defining moment, when as a complete novice, I began to believe I could actually do this running malarkey. I can remember the run so clearly, the route I took and how I felt.

Looking forward to hearing all the new graduates’ thoughts!

It's odd isn't it.. I can remembet my route on that run too.

Well done you, on how far you've travelled...and yes, I am hoping some new Graduates will call in!

I may tag a few!

Thank you x

Chat Challenge: About week 5, when I thought I’d better take it seriously and I bought some proper running shoes (Adidas). Previously wore an old pair of casual trainers. Since, upgraded again to Brooks and Asics. It’s an addictive thing this running lark 🤣
