I had a new lodger move in and it was soo super hot, i put off this run, but i think in part it was fear of it, noticing i get less breaks.
last night i went after a 4 day break, i was worried it was too long and i would not be able to do it. you know that FEAR. combined with the fear of a new run requirement. i suspected i was freaking myself out.
So i decided to go super SLOW, 5.5km/h with only a small part at 6 km/h. basically other peoples walking speed, but i thought well, why not, at least i did it.
Celebrated with a trip to BINGO, and i won the house. £60

It’s been really tricky with the heat and sometimes life just won’t play nicely. Well done for getting back out there. It’s really common to have nerves when you haven’t run in longer than you’d have liked. You can actually have a couple of weeks without running before you start to lose fitness which you might find reassuring. Taking things slowly is always a good plan!
🍏🥳 Well done! You did it! Now you can pack that fear away! Every run prepares you for the next one. Approach each one expecting to do a little more, and knowing you can!! Your ultimate goal is to run & to run effortlessly. Well done on keeping it slow and easy.. the best way to start every run. Glad you had such a fun reward!!
