Well hopefully not my final run (!) but am just contemplating getting out and about for W9 Run3... And for the first time since I started this, IT'S SUNNY! Having had a killer run (in the agonising, wearying and bursting into tears sense) on Sun, and a lovely one on Tues, it all seems a bit of a toss up what this one'll be like! But I'll let you know if I make it ok...
I can't believe this day has come. I have astonished myself.
But I'm not counting any chickens yet....30 mins of running still looming...better get out there, I suppose....!

well done!!! i'm sure we will all be joining you very soon (well i hope lol) have a relaxing evening while thinking about what your going to challenge yourself with next . look forward to hearing about it
Thanks guys - you know what? It feels fan bloomin' tastic!
Sitting here with a nice bottle of red contemplating what's next....probably actually trying to run 5k, as I'm still quite a long way off that....not quite sure how to go about it though....Anyway, it's felt like such a huge darn challenge that I can't let myself stop now...any thoughts?!
I've decided to batch up my music collection into 40minute files and keep running 3 times a week aiming for the 5K. Never really get the time to listen to all that music, new and old, so this is the perfect opportunity to re-visit it all.
Hopefully I'll really reach 5K before I reach the end of the collection,
Good idea Blueboots...but how are you going to aim for the 5k - by making yourself run a couple of minutes longer each week, as we've been doing, or actually try and run 5k, and do it more quickly each week?! The thought of 5k seems quite daunting to me - it's quite a long way when you measure it out in the car!!
I went on the Running Bug site and plotted a 5km running route around the woods where I normally run and I will use that. As I will generally use the same route while I aim for the 5k I intend to mark the spot I reach at 30minutes and aim to pass that spot the next time and so on until I reach the finish line running. That means I will gradually increase my speed,,Does that make sense? It seems a good plan for me.I will know when I reach the end of 30mins because of the music tracks I choose.
