Hi there. I haven’t run/jogged in 10 months. I had completed the couch to 5k and there was a family tragedy. On that day in June 17 was the last day I ever run.

My daughter (30) is getting married in July 18 and I need to get back to running. I’m starting from the beginning starting tomorrow and have started back at the gym 3 times a week. The both combined I should get back into shape and lose the weight.

Any advice or guidance anyone can give I would truly appreciate it. I have cut down on eating process food and am eating a vegan diet since last year. Anything else anyone can think of please let me know.

Im only at end of week 3 and have a couple stone still to lose (I've lost 3 before c25k) so we can run off these pounds together!

Love your resolve and determination 💞You might have advice for newbies like me!

Good luck - you've done this before so I'm sure you're well prepared to do it again! Just take it slow and steady and take the rest day(s) between runs. Keep posting on here so we know how you're getting on. Happy running! 👍🏃‍♀️

Well done on your commitment to getting fit after your problems last year. I am also pleased to hear you are eating vegan - good for you and good for the planet. But don’t forget you can eat an unhealthy vegan diet too 😉😄. There is a vegan forum on here - just search vegan on the communities icon. There have been some good recipes on there. Good luck and you will get loads of support here.

Thank you for you kind words. I have been a very unhealthy vegan for a while but have met a few real vegans and am learning new things. I will definitely look for the vegan community as any advice I can get I will hold onto and learn from. Any advice or guidance you have I will welcome. Thank you again.

I think it’s like any healthy eating plan, as I’m sure you know, it’s all about planning. I like to bulk cook when I’ve got time and freeze in portion sizes.

That’s a great idea. That would also stop me picking at biscuits and crisps. I do overnight oats with Chia and fruit for breakfast most days. I just have to do the same for lunch and dinner. I will look for lunch and dinner ideas that can be batch cooked. Thank you.

LOVE overnight oats! I get really excited when I have them for breakfast. I'm very sad 😂😂x

Thank you Fishypieface. Perfect day for a run. Well more of a jog but let’s not split hairs. Loved it. It seems to make it better when the suns out for some reason.
