Hello all,So I've been fighting a cold/cough bug since the tail end of my hols last week. The last run I managed was on Monday of this week, so I'm feeling a bit disappointed in myself, but every intention of getting back to it today after work 🤞🏾
I've now decided it was "ok" to let my body rest, to allow it to get to breathe easier whilst battling a cough, and I still "moved" I enjoyed a yoga and reiki class on Wednesday and felt more at peace with my choices for this week.
I will get back to it. Here I go again, with week 3 again...not what I wanted but think it's the right thing to do.

It's absolutely the right thing to do. Rest/recovery/sleep are really crucial. Always try and give yourself the best chance of success on any run in terms of attitude, hydration and fuelling etc so that you can keep going when you get back. Wishing you all the best 👍
Absolutely! Listen to your body - you must take the whole process at your pace. It would be interesting to know how many get through C25K in 9 weeks. My guess is a really large percentage take a good few weeks longer and repeat weeks. You are in esteemed company!
🍏Feel proud of yourself not disappointed.. you are doing the right thing waiting until your body feels recovered! Enjoy the weekend and then move slowly into week 3 Let us know how it goes! We are waiting to cheer you on!
Very well done... listening to your body and taking notice of what it says! Not always easy ... slow and steady as you go and then enjoy the coming back x
I’ve had a cold this week as well and it’s not been fun. You’ve done exactly the right thing in looking after yourself while you’ve been under the weather. That’s the sign of a runner supporting their running even while they’re not out for runs, and it’ll help you so much when you’re ready to come back. You’ll get there. ❤️
Don't worry, just get back to it when you feel well enough I had to delay my week 8 for a cold, but felt so good on my first run after it, stronger too I think. The challenge is running and also about dealing with obstacles too. I' ve just had to stop running as my Achilles heel is giving me issues, but hoping to be back at it this coming week. Good luck for the rest of your runs!
I agree, it’s the best thing to do. There is quite a big step up to week 4 so better to go into it when you are properly recovered. It’s not a race. I’m on week 6 now and I did the week 4 runs 5 times instead of just 3 and felt much better when moving to week 5:
