I have been doing knee strengthening exercises as my warm up (link was shared to me in my previous post - ThankYou for that!). So far I have no knee pain and I feel that I am keeping everything at a pace I can manage.
I am taking it really slow, I watched the video on Japanese slow jogging. I have been trying to use this style and everything feels very manageable. I am using traditional running shoes but focusing on landing on the balls of my feet. I tend to feel it in my calves and quads. I like that I can definitely still feel the benefits, even though I do feel it is very different to what I would usually and instinctively do which is when Laura says run i used to impersonate mo farah and stride out pretending to be athletic but nowadays I just look like I am at the end of a race, shuffling along 😂. But it think it is giving me the opportunity to focus on posture and avoiding injury. I definitely feel I am going at the right pace for me. I am curious if anyone else uses this approach and if they have any tips?
I had to repeat W1R3 today because I had been trying to run with the dog but he is all over the place and just distracts me so today I went for the same run without him. Running without the dog will make scheduling in runs a bit more tricky but I am going to try my best!

Nice and easy does it - and well done! (I can't I'm aging how tough it would be to run with a dog - even aaaa a gentle pace, so having a non-doggy work around is an excellent idea!)
Yay!! I was waiting to see a post, wanted to check you were still in a good place but didn't want you to feel pressured. So hoorah 🎉 and a 👍🏻 I watched a man and his "on a lead running beside him" dog today get chased by three loose dogs - all a bit of a kerfuffle and glad it wasn't me.
I could have posted every run tbh but need to restrain myself from constant updates! I am really proud for every achievement and sometimes that’s just getting my trainers on 😂
🍏It’s so encouraging to read how you have persevered after your difficult first run. Well done and welcome to the forum! Please update us when you want to share your good runs as well as the more challenging ones. You can never fail!! If it doesn’t go according to the program we call it a practice run and repeat it after a rest day! I had many of those in the first 2 weeks .Every run is a run and you can be proud that you got out there and tried!! You are doing great!
