5k Race for Life

We (my husband & me) ran the Portsmouth 5k Race for Life yesterday, our first race, we have only ever run together, and we absolutely loved it, and amazed ourselves by finishing in 35.38 minutes, two of our Grandchildren were there to to cheer us over line too, it was such a great day, I couldn’t stop smiling and we raised some money for cancer research, which is very close to my heart, after having breast cancer last year. We are definitely doing it again next year. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅🏅💖

Well done to you both. I did my local RFL yesterday too, and, yes, it's close to my heart too, having had breast cancer myself 5 years ago.

Yes it was really good, we have never ran in any type of race, usually just do our own thing, but always run together, I am hooked now 😊.

Sorry to hear that you have been though breast cancer as well, but good to hear that you ran as well yesterday, it’s such a great cause to raise money for x
