I began my running journey 7 weeks ago , wow I can't believe I will be taking part in the race for life in aid of cancer research tomorrow . The couch to 5 k programme is a truly fantastic way of getting a overweight couch potato of her bottom . I struggled to run the minute in the first weeks , thinking "I can't. Do this " but I've stuck with it and am amazed at the results ! I've lost 12 pounds in weight and am now running comfortable for 25 mins non stop . Anyone who has just started this journey keep going because it works just listen to Laura, I know it's a cliche but it's true "if I can do it then you can too "
Wish me luck as I am hoping
To run the full 5 k tomorrow in memory of my mum and many others that have been touch by a truly vile disease.

Well done for your achievements so far and have a great run tomorrow. RFL Is such a great cause and motivator. With all the emotions tomorrow take some time out to enjoy your run as well.
Good luck with your Race for Life tomorrow. I ran it a few years ago in memory of my Dad and I'm sure like me you will find the whole experience moving and quite uplifting. Remember though, whether you run the whole 5k or not, you will be there for your Mum and she would be so proud.
Thank you to all for my good luck wishes - I'm sure it will be emotional on so many levels . I will post how I got on and try and upload a photo xx thank all your support means the world 😘
