First 5K!

Well after completing the programme (twice!) this morning I finally did it. 5K ran without stopping. An extremely modest time of 36:43 but I really do not care one bit. Couldn’t have done it without the inspiration and advice from the lovely bunch of folk here. Feeling blessed. Another period of consolidation I think and then on towards working my way up to 10K.

A big congratulations to you BlackCountryLee on completing your first 5k in a very good time of 36.43, I bet you are very proud of yourself, if you wish sign on at your nearest parkrun, at a parkrun you will be welcomed and probably be able to run a 5K sub 35 minutes.

Congrats - that's a great time! My first 5k was way longer than that!

Thanks so much. I'm still amazed nearly a year in that I'm still loving it, and that I feel down if there's a situation that prevents me from running.

Fantastic news! Another milestone for you. It’s a great distance to be able to do. Even now I’m able to run for much further (injury permitting!), every time 5k comes up on my watch it feels special. Congratulations! 🏃‍♀️🏅💪❤️
