Well done on your progress!
Can't really give a number for the treadmill speed for everyone will be different of course .
Just remember the basic principle for your best development is to run at a conversational pace.
So my advice would be ignore the numbers.
Go at a pace where you could still hold a conversation with someone without gasping for breath.
Good luck
It may even be that you reduce your speed to run!
Get to a speed where you are walking as quickly as you can. Without changing the speed, change that brisk walk into a jog ... and then see how you feel.
Well done! For getting this far you are well on your way into your C25K !
I can’t give you treadmill advice as I am running outside! However 👏 well done 👏
Hi Gonks4life...I run on a treadmill and it took me ages to work out that if I just leave the speed as it is for brisk walking and then break into a gentle jog it works. As you get stronger you can increase your jogging speed....I started off increasing the speed to jog to a silly amount and I couldn't understand why I was finding it really hard😆....Then it dawned on me to just jog at my walking pace...I find it much more comfortable now. Hope that helps 😀
When I'm working my way through the program I normally go at a very sedate and slow 6kph, as I progress towards the end of the program I do play around with the speed a little. It's not until I've completed the program that I do whole runs faster.
I'll pick week 5 run 2 for instance and do the run parts at 8-9 kph for as long as I can.
I suppose the right speed is the one that you can finish the session at while being able to hold a conversation
