Patting myself on the back that I managed to do this. I'm overweight and every time I go gung-ho I end up injured and give up. I took my time, was mindful of each step and the unevenness of our paths around here (I'm sure it's not just our council that has uneven pavements am I right?) I was mindful of my route and kept near my house as it gets hilly around here and made sure it was all relatively flat'ish so not to over do it.
Week 2 starts Monday!!🏃♀️

Going 'gung-ho' is a mistake that so many beginners make when doing C25K, so you've done well to recognise that and adjust.
Just remember that you are meant to be *jogging*, i.e. not running (something that for many conjures up a certain effort and speed). Jogging should be nice and easy, feeling comfortable and relaxed. Always bear in the mind the Talk Test - if you can't talk comfortably during your jogs then you are going too quickly. That may mean you're going barely quicker or even slower than brisk walking pace - it doesn't matter. It's also referred to as conversational or 'chatty' pace. It's the secret sauce for C25K - when you find it ... it will be magic
Well done you...I'm hoping you have had a good look at the essential reading, on How to run C25K...pinned post.Slow and steady is the way to go...just perfect...keep posting here too for support and encouragement!
This is great, look forward to hearing how you get on.
There is something about the couch 2 5k programme that, if you trust it and pace yourself, carries you along and gives you belief that you can and will achieve.
Do read all the info and watch the slow jogging Japanese style. Slow is the way to go!
