100k January Challenge Done

After shaking hands with my son in law on Boxing Day to take part in the above, it’s finally complete with a 3 km run today.

The penultimate runs consisted of 6km, 6.5km, 7.5km and a 5km.

This week’s runs have been: 5 km (x 3) 7.5km and today’s 3km.

I think the weather has been the biggest challenge, the wind especially hard. However, I do feel fitter and have learnt to slow down to complete the longer runs.

Next step to continue with the slightly longer distances and hopefully do one 10K a week.

BTW, as for my son in law - he threw the towel in early on due to man flu!

well done you!! I have barely run this January afternoon having the virus that wasn’t covid for 5 weeks and being left with a cloggy throat, wheezy chest and a voice like Bonnie Tyler for the last 3 weeks.

Manflu hah!! Bit of a sniffle I expect. I remember my mum always used to say “ ill? I haven’t got time to be ill” and I was always the same until I retired and all those bugs finally caught up with me 😂
