Must admit tonight is the first time I felt like a runner. It felt a bit easier than run 1 and I felt relaxed and in control. Running a steady pace I ran 4k in the 25 mins, which for a 58 year old ex smoker (smoked from 18-45 years old) I am pleased and amazed with.
Week 7 Run 2: Must admit tonight is the first... - Couch to 5K
Week 7 Run 2
Excellent! That’s the pace you want-an easy effort where you can talk out loud in full sentences. If you can keep finding that conversational pace, which might be faster or slower on different days, you’ll be in a great position for your next runs. Forget about distance-that doesn’t matter. Focus on keeping it easy.
Enjoy the rest day(s) and good luck for run 3. 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
Well done Mikeyboy58
Well done.
It’s amazing to review one’s own progress and feel rightfully proud and so grateful to have stayed with the programme.
(Am I allowed to mention specific books here?) If so—
Every so often I dip into Dr Michael Greger-How Not To Die /How Not To Diet .. I find them enjoyable reads and they encourage me to think carefully about what I’m eating. They may be a bit American/over enthusiastic/hyped for some.!
I see Tim Spector has a similar book out now. Might not be quite so entertaining but no doubt worthy.
