I found it a bit of a struggle to be honest. I started off okay, and eventually heard I’d only been running for 5 minutes - it felt longer.
I kept going and soon I was half way through. I turned to run towards home and passed two others running in the opposite direction. No way was I giving up now!
I kept going and completed it but felt really out of breath and my heart was pounding. I was so glad to do my cool down walk.
Tomorrow, I will be out again and will really try to slow down a bit.

Well done on completing it! Whenever I’ve struggled I’ve slowed right down for the next one and done well so I really do think that’s the trick. Good luck for tomorrow
Good luck for tomorrow! I can fully empathise with what you're describing. I've somehow been on a roll with 3 days running a row (super slowly - it's been helping me to focus at work and get out of my head) - so on the app my next run would be W7 run 2 and I'd be joining you soon! I have also found this run to be difficult, if not the hardest for me. 5 minutes were an eternity and I kept trying to check how much longer was left. I have read about the toxic 10 minutes and probably expected some sort of relief and easy rhythm from 10 minutes onwards, but 12.5 mins in, I was so close to giving up so very many times, with my head focusing on the wrong thing and body protesting a few times....
I hope it feels better tomorrow Best of luck to us! Virtual running colleagues
Oh that feeling, when I'm just thinking I'll slow down now, or coming to the end of a run section, then a walker steps back and waits for me to pass, so I have to keep running! Nooo! Well done for finishing, but definitely take it slower next time 😊
I now exactly how you feel it’s week 7 and week 8 I’ve been struggling with after 10 days off I’ve repeated week 7 still finding it tough but gonna persevere, good luck
