Well ladies and gentlemen after my post about letting things slip I went on a slow jog around my village π no pressure on myself just carried on until I decided to walk for a bit, jog/walk/jog. It is such a beautiful, crisp, cold sunny day here in Essex. I went on for just over 2k then took the dog out for another 2k walk. And yes I feel great, I have to learn to not put pressure on myself to do a certain time/distance and just do it!
Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement, you really are a wonderful bunch of people xx

Thatβs absolutely fantastic news! Now youβre a runner who has been for a run today, your next one will be so much easier. You should be mega proud of yourself!
Well done. No pressure is the key. Every day we feel different due to our own bodies and all the other things going on in our lives. A run is a run whether itβs long or short, fast or slow. You got out there ππ» (Too much Coach Bennett me thinks π€ͺπ)
Iβm a big believer in no pressure runs. I have enough pressure on me from other areas! I love a long slow run at the end of a busy week. Itβs a tonic π’
Brilliant! You did it!!! Not only that but you learned the most important lesson of all about running and this will mean that you feel better and better and actually enjoy the journey. Enjoy the celebrations!
Bet you feel so good about yourself now. The dog is a great incentive, my girl is a jack Russell who has no intention of running with me but she often comes along for the warm up and cool down Walk and waits in the car for the 'run' bit.πππββοΈ
I like that you have incorporated your pooch to take part in your running journey! Iβm going to try this - my girl has a sulk when she sees me escape out the door with running gear on - then is mega excited when I return and we then do a walk together. It also means I could run in a different locality too ππββοΈπβπ¦Ί Thanks π
Thank you. I definitely feel good now I've done it once I can do it again. I have a greyhound and he's a rubbish running partner, not because he is fast but because he stops all the time π
