I'll take that......

Today I had a pre-op assessment with the anaesthetist. He was concerned about my fitness following a stroke in March. He asked " How far can you walk...?". I said " Well yesterday I ran for 60 minutes in the morning and walked 8k in the afternoon". His reply was "Wow".

I think I'll take that as meaning C25K did its job very well!!

I've said this and will keep saying it, thank you for C25K, it's helped me take control of my health , and then an extra special thank you for all the support and advice from fellow slow runners and mentors.

To all those on the C25K journey, well done for starting, it's a big thing. Finishing is the start of a proud and enjoyable experience that keeps giving.

And if anyone has any experience of post key hole surgery recovery I'd love to hear your thoughts. (My op is to remove my gallbladder)

Well done chinkoflight. It really is the best thing I’ve ever done too. Bye bye high blood pressure 👋🏻 . Good luck with your op.

im 61 and has keyhole surgery for gallbladder removal a few months ago. It's really the first 2-3 weeks until bruising and soreness ease away , you will feel it improving every day. Check with your surgeon but I think it's approx 6 weeks before you can lift or strain in any way.

Best of luck with it , no more awful pain which is a good thing.
