week5 Run 3

Hi all,

I hope you are all doing well. I am pleased to say I have just completed Week 5 Run 3 and it provided a real sense of achievement yet again. This is my second time through the program having previously managed12 months of regular running before the proverbial wheels fell off.

A bad dose of Covid, followed by an early heavy attack of hayfever and then redundancy provided the perfect opportunity to consolidate on the couch with crisps.

However, I've now put my Brooks back on and I'm doing it again.

im finding the sense of fulfillment is just as sweet the second time round.

A big shout out to Cmoi who gave me some encouragement just when I needed it.🙏

Happy Running everyone

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, as you know that is a milestone run with C25K, you have indeed achieved a real sense of achievement, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but as you already have ran it before be careful about that run as it's back to interval walks and runs.

Thank you Sidmouth203. "Enjoying it" may be stretching the truth a tad 🤣 but I'm getting the same good sense of achievement afterwards 👍

So many of us repeating or repeated... It works. A huge well done to you! Slow and steady and on you go... relax through the next runs and move on with confidence!

Glad you are feeling better too and came through the Covid and the crisp munching, couch consolidation too!!! Love that!

That is so right @ridingstar. The knowledge that I have completed this before is a real positive motivator that I can do it again.
