Not been in for a while as been busy moving my son, so lots of lifting, cleaning and painting to be done

Completed Week5 Run3 today, my legs were tired even before I set out today but I completed the run successfully, first 5 minutes was hard but then it became easier

So looking forward to Tuesday for the dreaded week 6, but I will complete it

Good luck everybody, off to do some more painting ๐Ÿ˜

You got it wrong! Week 5 is the one most people unnecessarily dread. Week 6 is just another series of runs requiring respect and a gentle start.

You say the first few minutes were toughest. That is true for all runners. That is when our body is trying to work out what the demands are. After five to ten minutes breathing settles, joints are lubricated and it all gets easier. So in week six, more of each run will be at the easy phase......... it's a doddle, really.

Well done.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Thank you, now I won't dread it so much, but I'm really enjoying this running, and I never thought I would say that, not in a million years

Trust me, Week 5 is the hardest week you will do, run 3 is the one where you either break the psychological barrier or you re-run it until you do. YOU HAVE broken that barrier, no run in week 6 is as bad as week 5 run 3!

If you can run for 20 minutes, you can run for 25 minutes, if you can run for 25 minutes then you can run for 28 minutes, if you can run for 28 minutes then you can run for 30 minutes and that gets you through to graduation.

Take it steady, slow down if you need to, you CAN do this, go on, surprise yourself, I did.

Well done on W5. I'm doing W6R1 today and I'm slightly miffed that after running 20 minutes straight two days ago, its back to running and walking today. I trust the programme though, so I will stick to it.

Yes and looking forward to it, think after week 6 I can call myself a runner, a slow one but still a runner๐Ÿ˜Š

Hope you got on well with w6r1, I'm up for that on Tuesday, think the programme is brilliant and definitely does work,

It went OK thanks, but I needed the walk breaks as my legs felt very heavy. Good luck with yours.
