Week 7 run 3 done - a struggle, a whinge and an unexpected bonus (one for the ladies)

Week 7 run 3 done.

A struggle but it was my own fault, I was overconfident after completing the first two runs and set off far too fast then had to slow right down to recover and couldn't find my rhythm at all. It was really humid as well which didn't help.

A minor whinge, why does the halfway bell sound so long before the halfway announcement? Does the same thing happen in weeks 8 & 9?

I've found many unexpected bonuses over the last 7 weeks, maybe I should have expected this one, I'm definitely more toned. I'm sure there are many others out there like me who have a small problem with stress incontinence. It's something that has always been a problem for me when running or jumping but it seems to have disappeared 😃💦🏃‍♀️tenalady no longer required 😁👍

Yeayyyy... Win win!

Ease back and slow it up over the next runs.. these runs are so perfect for relaxing into... why rush!

Tightening the pelvic floor can be useful and an added benefit of running.

Kegels can be helpful and we did have few posts on here a year or so back on the kinds of exercises which help.

The main theme being referred to clenching the butt muscles and pennies!

Seriously it can be a huge issue and for some, really troublesome... but you seem to have got it sorted!!!

Toned and tightened... a lean, mean running machine! Well done you!

Well done for completing week 7! I found run 3 of this week so difficult - especially that last 5 mins and the last 60 seconds were torture, no speeding up for me (thank you but no, Sanjeev). I listened to advice on here and I slowed right down and broke the next run up in my head into sections (15 mins, 10 mins, and instead of 2 then 1, I told myself it was another 5 so that it didn’t seem as long) I still struggled but it was better than previous run and I’d run for 3 mins longer this time. My legs have definitely toned - still waiting for less belly jiggle but I can see small changes 👍🏻 Good luck on week 8 😉

Well done on week 8, I really think a lot of the struggle is in the head, if I can get into a rhythm and not be thinking about how much longer I've got to go I'm ok, failed miserably last time out but I'll try again next time. Jiggly belly is shrinking but still plenty of jiggle 😄

It totally is mind over matter - well done on your lessening belly jiggle ☺️👍🏻

Well done on your progress! I found the halfway bell was very arbitrary - a bit annoying when you get home too soon, or finish your cool down far away... Great news about the stress issue. Imagine what other great benefits are going on inside our bodies that we can't see or notice!
