It was already hot when I went out at 6.45 this morning with my new playlist, my new shorts, and huge determination. I deviated from my normal route, which was a nice change and included what even my ex-triathlon partner agrees is a bit of a hill. I was glad to hear Denise announce the halfway point (why does the bell go significantly earlier than her announcement? π€) and gritted my teeth for the final 15 mins. The bit I like best is when I finish a run, it's such a great feeling and I felt particularly fab today of course - I had a huge grin on my tomato coloured face!
I prefer running in cooler weather π³π€£

Yay! Just the news I was hoping for this morning! Huge congratulations, you look so happy (and not at all red compared to how I've been in this hot weather!) How are you going to celebrate?
Oh what a lovely reply! The tomato colour really licked in when I went indoors...
To celebrate, we just had coffee at our favourite place - with a blueberry friand - and Mark is taking me out to dinner tonight to celebrate before we go to a concert (that was already booked, so not part of the celebrations!)
I am being treated big time!! I think it's particularly poignant as I was recovering from a heart bypass this time last year so I will just lap up the glory!!
Hi there, well done for graduating. I remember being one week ahead of you on an earlier post. I should have finished a week ago, but got back last night from 2 weeks visiting my children in Italy . It was much too hot for me to run there, so unfortunately I am not at the finishing line yet.I went for a 5k walk this morning and will start the run again tomorrow. Think I will do a 20 min one and see how I get on before jumping into week 9 run 1.
Thank you! Yes I can imagine Italy was far too hot to run, and it's much better to pick it up again now you're back. I look forward to you joining me on the podium before long!
