OMG OMG! I've just completed W5R2 - two 8 min runs. I am absolutely buzzing!!
This time last year, I was still recovering from a double heart bypass after having had a completely unexpected heart attack in Dec 20. And now I'm running and, more importantly, enjoying it!
I did have a small emotional moment at the end of the first 8 min run, thinking about how far I've come. Goodness knows what I'll be like on Friday when I complete 20 mins run non stop (which I now know is completely possible!)
This programme is awesome. Bring it on!

Huge congratulations. Youโre doing brilliantly. Looking forward to reading the post where you tell us youโve done run 3 of the week. Youโve got this. Great job ๐
HUGE well done to you! You have done brilliantly! On you go, slow and steady and just relax into the next runs and let those newly formed running legs do their own thing!
Thanks Indicat. I really was quite emotional after my run, it's been quite a journey. I've always been fairly fit but the C25K has taken my fitness to the next level. Roll on Friday!!
Great progress there Brixcos and grest post too. Your enthusiasm really leaps off the page!
I remember a great feeling of satisfaction for running 800m after having a stent fitted. It's interesting to see where we get to on this running journey!
It was good thanks! Managed it even though the 2nd 8 mins was uphill. I might have to rethink my usually run timing though - it's getting a bit hot to run at 2pm before the school run ๐ฅต
