Completed W9, feeling great

Having started the Couch to 5K in Jan 2022 from the position of never being a runner, I'm thrilled to have complete the programme. I was careful not to be too ambitious and I did repeat some runs until I was more comfortable.

Probably the most surreal run for me was running in the snow.

I used Strava to monitor my progress and also linked an arm-based heart rate monitor to my phone. I carried the phone in a running strap - I didn't like the idea of just holding the phone, strapping it to my arm or having it move around in a shorts pocket. The Strava results motivated me as I could see improved pace times.

During the programme I discovered a local running club offering a beginners course - which I've joined hoping that the course will have me improve my pace and get me up to running 10km.

I'm also going to join the local park runs.

Congrats!! I took a similar length of time to complete the program. Slow and steady wins the day. Massively well done. You must feel amazing today! 😃🎉🏆🏅

Well done! I did the same, repeated some runs until I felt strong enough to move on, and took more rest days in the last three weeks.

Welcome to the Clan! Now just go out and do some fun runs for consolidation, mix it up a bit, don't feel you have to do 30 minutes every time :)
