Okay so only on wk 5 but already thinking about what app to get that will guide me through training runs (like coaches on this app) once I complete c25k. Any suggestions?

I really thought I wouldn't manage without the app but by the end I was on my own and just loving my music and doing my own thing.

There are apps out there: nike run club, zombie runs etc but the app actually prepares you for running without; as the weeks go in there is less and less interaction.

When you announce your graduation I will send you a link to a guide to post C25k running, which mentions some options.

If you cannot wait, it is sitting in the FAQ Posts, which you will find in the Pinned Posts.

I've never used a guided run since completing C25K - I don't get on well with out-of-context audio instructions, which I find intrusive at best and infuriating at worst. However many people seem to love Nike Run Club, which is a free app with a whole host of guided runs and different coaches.

Yes, I know exactly how you feel.

I started using Runkeeper after graduating, and it has some hilarious voices, which keep you motivated when they tell you your stats

But NRC (Nike Run Club) has the best dedicated audio-guided runs, also on its free version. Once I finish my C25k journey the second time around, I’ll be doing some NRC runs as well. Its plans (5 week plan, 8 week plans) are also great, as they ensure you experience different kinds of runs.

But before that, it might be worthwhile consolidating, and then there are also the C25k+ podcasts, given your more audio guided runs from the same team of C25k.

Have fun exploring!

Another vote for Nike Running Club, I found it really helpful when I graduated and am still learning from and enjoying it.

I dumped the headphones and music a couple of weeks after finishing C25K - nearly 2 years ago, how did that happen? - so guided runs such as NRC don’t work for me. My solution was to buy a watch that I could download runs to and it beeps/vibrates to tell me to change pace etc instead of spoken instructions. Garmin forerunner in my case, but I’m sure other running watches will offer similar features.
