Just been out for the first time for nearly 2 weeks. What I thought was a little tummy bug turned into a nasty virus. So, decided to test the water today. I almost managed 25 minutes so I will plod on with week 7 until I’m comfortable with it. Enjoyed being out today in the sun even though the hills were a bit of a struggle, well done those of you that completed C25K while I’ve been away. I will get there, no rush, at 65 I’m proud that I can run further now than when I left school at 18!!!

Glad you're starting to feel better! These things knock it right out of you don't they? And well done, you're absolutely right to be so proud of yourself 🤗

It's a beautiful day for a run today here too. I ran yesterday evening in the dark, damp and gloomy, almost wishing I'd left it 'til today although I did feel really healthy and glowy afterwards! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow is still nice 🤞but thinking about it, I'm loving my runs whatever the weather at the moment 😊

The thing with this stage is that you (as a previous graduate) can deviate slightly from the programme. You know the discipline and what you're trying to achieve. It's a 25 minute run. You could do a slightly shorter or longer one. You could even go back to doing the intervals from Week 6. You're in charge of setting the pace of the programme: just do whatever works.

Glad the virus has gone so that you could get out again.. sounds pretty good to me if you could go straight back into week 7! I’m also 65 and couldn’t run at all at 18.. and a very mild Covid before Christmas left me struggling just walking uphill! I’m also much better now and hope to catch up with you - maybe before we become pensioners 🤞☺️

Thank you PeggySusi, I think it’s better 2nd time around as I feel I can tailor it a bit to my needs. Didn’t have long this morning so upped the speed a bit and just ran for 20 minutes, enjoyed running down the final hill and even got a PB!!
