Work life balance

Is anyone else struggling with long hours at work (up at 4 this morning for work and just finished )šŸ˜«and find it difficult to really get going . I was looking forward to todays run but too tired so having a cuppa with feet up. Hoping for a shorter day tomorrow but wonā€™t hold my breath. Keeping positive thoughšŸ¤ž.

I think we all wondered how we would fit running into our lives but remarkably we manage to prioritise things differently as the bug takes hold.

Don't agonise over it. Just fit it in as you can manage.

Anything is better than nothing.

Itā€™s hard isnā€™t it šŸ¤ŖšŸ„µ especially in the winter when the time after work is limited. You can only do what you can do. Run when you can and rest when you need to. Iā€™ve timetabled my 2 runs in on set days at set times each week otherwise it wouldnā€™t happen. My timetable sounds a bit more predictable than yours though. Youā€™re right not to put pressure on yourself. Resting is just as important sometimes. Enjoy your cuppa ā˜•ļø Iā€™ve just got in and am having one too along with my lunch that I didnā€™t get to eat šŸ¤Ŗ

Miracle happened , early finish at work and finally I was able to go to the gym and start the first day of week 3 . I may have missed a few days out but it went well. I decided it was too cold to run outside . Loved it . Now poached eggs on toast and a cuppa.

Yes, I work shifts and have a 11 month old baby so I'm tired most days. To motivate myself I just try and think about why I want to do this; Improve my health, Mental Health, Look better and feel good about myself. It's only 30mins out of your day and it will be over before you know it and think about how good you feel afterwards. Good Luck
