I am new to C25K, having heard about it recently & decided to try :) Still in week1. Done w1r2 yesterday and looking forward to the 3rd run romorrow. The first 2 runs were not too bad. I am not a runner as I huff and puff after jogging for even 200mtrs. My 2022 challenge is to give running a go. I do walk regularly. I would much appreciate any tips/advice to avoid injuries & stay motivated.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

It's full of helpful information to get you through the program.

Keep your runs slow, stay well hydrated and always do the after run stretches mentioned in the guide .

Most of all, Enjoy !

The search facility is really helpful in here. That C25 app is a bit glitchy, so don't get too worried, some weeks it will be the same each run. Just take it a run at a time. I started walking and power walking, but was jogging by week 4 never having done it and not someone who enjoyed running previously. Find your own speed! Mines super slow...Set up a playlist or whatever, add a tracker app (map my walk, strava etc). Enjoy it your way!
