I'm looking to plan an cross running challenge in the new year between 4-5 offices. So the idea is our local office run a combined distance of say 200km in month, and then when the distance is complete, the virtual baton is handed over to the next office, and so on and so fort
Has anyone had any experience of being involved or led such a event, if so I would love some ideas.
If this is not the right forum for this, I will happily delete the post, thank you!

This is a perfectly appropriate place to put up such a question and you may reach a completely different set of runners if you put it into the Bridge to 10k forum and Marathon and Race Support forums.
I have no experience of such a challenge, but my first query would be to seek reassurance that all participants are adequately conditioned and prepared beforehand. It is so easy to get carried away and to accept a challenge from work colleagues and end up doing more than your body is conditioned to handle.......which would disappoint the individual, muck up the team effort and might not be viewed sympathetically by your employer if someone does themselves a mischief through doing too much too soon.
Hi nick_vi , I've no experience of this. However, in terms of recording runs, if your company has some sort of intranet or other shared online system and social use of this is authorised, you could perhaps set up something on there.
Other options might be to use Google Drive, Dropbox, WhatsApp, Facebook, Strava etc. I'd just be careful to ensure that anything you set up conforms to your organisation's IT and data protection policies.
IannodaTruffe makes a very good point about actual fitness to run too. Happy organising, happy running!
