Think I am getting the hang of this.๐๐ผโโ๏ธ ran for 3 mins yes I will say it again I ran for 3 minutes. My throat did get a bit dry . I canโt wait to do it again.
Wish I had started this when the evenings were lighter. Ah but then again when the evenings are lighter I will look like a runner. Yeah this is a win - win. ๐

Week 4 is harder, but doable. I had a miserable run in W4R3. I completed it, but the weather was not conducive to exercise (really humid, drizzly gap between summer deluges).
Hi Angie Congratulations! I did Wk3 R1 last night (based in Melb, Aus so our evenings are still light) but I found it pretty tough going. My legs felt heavy! But I kept going and am feeling proud. I'm hoping my next run will be easier.
Hi Johanna, itโs amazing how easy it is too get hooked, I thought I would find it a chore and hard work, dark cold nights here. But after being in the office all day, it gives me a reason to get outside and fills me with energy once I have finished the run. Good luck, keep going, we will graduate.
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to intake a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide to the plan, which is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Itโs a great feeling isnโt it angiepoole! Huge well done to you! Make sure you drink plenty of water every day, not just run days. Enjoy the rest of week 3!
