Week 7 Run 2 wow... that was my hardest run yet. I think my weekend of excessive drinking and late nights really didn't help after all my body is a temple π€£π€£
I nearly gave up half way through but did a 3 minute 'barely a joggle' to catch my breath. Any ideas on how to prevent that horrible phlegm build up in the back of the nose & throat? I tried chewing gum but no help.
Also this was my 1st 'timed' run. Normally I just add my warm up and cool down walks into the stats but today just logged a run...well after all Denise Lewis says I am a runner now! π€£
Still smiling at the end though. 5.3 mph and covered 2.24 miles in the 25 minute run. I forgot to change my watch to KM from Miles π€¦π»ββοΈ (excuse the hair - storm Barra was blowing a hoolie and it was 5.30am!!)

I don't think it's something I'm keen to repeat lol!! I couldn't face my regular Monday morning run as still felt jaded after a very 'sociable' work Christmas Party - that was on Friday night π€¦ββοΈπ I don't know how people do it?!
A few days recovery now and then to hit Run 3 on Thursday morning πͺπββοΈ
My challenge is to complete C25K before Christmas Day!
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
I can relate to phlegm build up - not a nice feeling and restricts the breathing. Thereβs nothing for it but to get rid of it as it becomes a problem. π
