I saw a warning about this run after the milestone moment of W5R3 and wondered what was going on. I did it this morning, it was calm and cool but honestly it was a bit difficult, lower legs a bit heavy and slightly sore and it felt long. Upon reflection I was a bit off my health routine from the middle of last week, I didn’t do my normal workout on my rest day yesterday and I’ve had a few more sweet treats than normal, I’m assuming this has all contributed. Also my music playlist was rubbish this morning, and that really seems to put me off. Any way, here is the sun rise this morning around 8pm. Good luck to all my new friends who are at the same stage!

W6r1 tired legs today
Well done on completing week 6 run 1
And yes, that run does catch people out , often because they feel invincible after completing week 5 run 3 then tend to do this one too fast !
But you did it 👍
Heavy legs is often a symptom of dehydration !
Something to keep on top of, especially with the longer runs coming up !
Take a look at this post on hydration in preparation.

P S Beautiful picture !
Happy running !
Well done 👏 on completing your run. The advice on this forum is the best, take it all in. W6R3 for me today....keep going. Who would have thought this was going to happen when we took our first small step on W1R1? We too, can and will, become victorious 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️😁
Well done, you did it.
How we approach a run, in the 24 hours preceding it, can have a marked effect on performance.

Keep learning and keep looking back to see how far you have come.
A rubbish playlist will do it every time, but other things contribute, also remember your last run was a straight 20 minutes and that would tire your legs But you did it so be proud
Better music required, need to pump those tunes to keep the heart pumping and the legs going! 😊
We quite like gentle slow tunes to keep us going steadily for longer but sometimes fast beats give us a push
Note to self, don’t use a playlist for running if you haven’t checked out its contents In advance! 🤔 I saw a different C25K running playlist on Spotify and just got started with it, there are numerous others and my previous one was excellent. I wanted a fresh one, but it just wasn’t familiar to me at all, more country tunes on it, i remember one of the lyrics that caught my attention near the end was something about the ‘long road home’ 😳 not really what you want to hear when your just wanting to get finished! 😂😂😂
Ha ha not at all, i ended up with a very gentle playlist full of songs i don’t know once and arrived home right grumpy, mostly I use my own playlists that i’ve made from favourite artists though and rock for running is a bit of fun, I have some of Willows playlists on Spotify too so use those at times
