Am I missing something? I genuinely feel like I accidentally skipped a run or something as I sailed through that like it was nothing. Maybe it’s because it was less runs so it felt quicker?

I can’t believe that was it. I got myself so worked up!! How is everyone else getting on? X

Week 3 is actually the shortest overall workout duration in the whole programme, but worry not, it is superbly progressively structured .........and it works !

If you are getting worked up about runs then you need to relax and trust the plan. This FAQ Post about mental approach may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this, so relax and enjoy it.

I thought so! I couldn’t believe how quick it felt. You saying that was the shortest one has made me more hesitant for week 4 though lol! Best read that post…

Hi! I thought it was a fault because I've started C25K again after an injury in June and I thought week 3 runs so short, 9 minutes of running in total and now I'm on week 4 it goes up to 16 minutes of running. Also I train with Laura as the coach and at the end she says 3 minute walk instead of 5 minute cool down so I presumed it was a mistake. Could defo repeat the 90 sec / 3 min run 3x! Keep going and good luck with the rest. :)

Well done on your progress ! Week 3 is the shortest training session in the program !

I remember having similar thoughts when I was on week 3 😁

Really enjoying wk3 so far.. made the mistake of running up hill for the first 3 mins, made it, but changed route - far easier 2nd time! Keep up the goid work!

I am at the same point in the program as you and I feel the same about Week 3 - it feels short. I have to admit I am dreading next week. Is there a guide about how to deal with it mentally? The link in one of the replies here goes to hydration.

There is no need to dread any week or run !Its just another week/run in a progressive training program.

If you have successfully completed the previous week then you will be physically ready for the next .

This is the post you may be referring to .

Yes of course you and John W are right. There really is no need for me to dread anything about the programme. It is just how my mind over inflates things some times! Thanks for link. I will have a read.

Why 'dread'? What is the very worst thing that can happen?

Don’t dread. I predict if you found W3 R1 ok, by Wk 4 it will be the same story. You are gently preparing for the next step all the time without even realising it. Tricking the mental gremlins is the biggest challenge. You will find a way to bust them. Generally I just tell myself I’m giving a run a try, and I can stop if I want to, which, of course, I can! I never do want to... once I am out there...

I wasted far too much energy dreading, (unnecessarily), a particular run. Just remember - If Laura says you can do it - chances are - you can!
