Week 6 Run 3 Done!! Whoop!

Well the app thinks I’m a runner now, so I’ll take that. I can’t say that one was easy but I was struggling with the pacing. My Strava stats suggested roughly 12 minutes a mile, so I downloaded a new playlist with that bpm…. Of course: I’ve been counting the walking time!! So the numbers are way off! Felt better after the first 8 minutes and I ignored the beat. Looks like I’m more like 11 minutes a mile. Which I’m quite pleased with although irrelevant at this stage. So now onto the final trimester as it were. This I like to call pre-consolidation. Letting my legs settle in to the last 5 minutes. I still can’t believe I haven’t quit yet!

Thank you. Every time I run I’m breaking personal records! I’m going to feel lost without the app. Haha. Downloaded Nike app in readiness for consolidation. 😊

The NRC app is great !I use it's guided runs most of the time .

Another fun one is the 'Zombies Run' app 😁

Ha. Yes I have that one too. That appeals to both my sense of horror and adventure!

Hey runner! I cannot ever disagree with the app that changed my life.

Final trimester as you say… you are 2/3 of the way through this… but really it’s 5/6 if you look at that run! Relax, and enjoy closing this one out… you got this.

Thanks. I just need that final step of loving it while I’m actually running! And get these monsters out of my head!

Exactly right at this point...letting the legs do what they are learning to do. Relaxing and moving forward with them, maybe even upping your core strength work a tad too, on some of your rest days?

I’m doing about 30 minutes of strength exercises on my rest days. I’ve just got to week 4 of consistent work outs. But I think my body is in shock! I haven’t told myself I’m actually doing the Couch to Schwarzenegger yet. But my core strength is also starting from zero!

Go you...your body will be as honed as those legs!!!!

I won’t hold my breath! All I need to do is develop an addiction to feeling fitter…. Sounds easy right? Haha.

It is insidious. ..when I began C25K..and graduated in 2015...I was only ever going to run 5K...ha!!!! That changed!
