Wk4 done bring on Wk 5

So I have got to week 5 who would have thought it certainly not me 6 weeks ago. Up early run shower and logged on for home working at 8:00. The only problem is I was sat then for almost 9 hours solid just the odd trip to the kitchen and the bathroom. Not good. WK looks a step up and like every time I’ve gone to the next stage a bit of self doubt creeps in. But I trust the program and I can do this is my mantra to dispel the doubts. Friday and W5 R1 here I come

Well done completing week 4 !And yes, there's often that uncertainty as we start a new week BUT ... As you said , trust the program !

If you have successfully completed week 4 you WILL be physically ready for week 5

And I also have the same issue with sitting down to work all day , I really need to move more on my non running days ! 😁

Great job. That self doubt can actually be a good thing… it makes you start to coach yourself, just like you are doing here. There are thousands of great coaches out there, but only one is ever with you three quarters of the way though a tough run that part of you wants to quit.

Have a great week 5.

W5 is just another week of gently progressive runs and each workout is actually shorter than each W4 session.

It is recommended, if possible, that you get up and move your legs for two minutes every 30 minutes.

This FAQ breakdown of W5 may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Relax and have fun.
