Hi all, I’ve just looked at the next run and it’s the first 20 min run. It seems a massive jump from 8 mins, which I struggled with lol. Did anyone wrk up to this or just go for it?

If you have fully completed each workout in the programme then you have worked up to W5R3 perfectly adequately.

There is no big jump, as explained in this breakdown of W5 healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

If you struggle with a run, just slow down.

Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.

Relax and enjoy the journey.

I didn’t realise it was a 20 min run until I read it on here so I was quite shocked lol x it’s very doable , just slow down and try not to think about the time just the pace and the lovely scenery, noises , music anything x if you have followed the programme to a t and also have had rest days you will be fine x

I thought exactly the same when I saw the first 20 minute run. But seriously, this plan is like magic, I managed to do it and felt amazing afterwards! There’s a real sense of achievement doing your first run without a rest.

I did have a bit of a wobble when I saw the 20 minute run on W5R3 but listened to the podcast and thought I can so do this then put on my big girl power ballads, off I went and it was over so quick - unbelievable Now doing 25 minutes and smashing it. You can do this.

Speaking as somneone who did W5R3 a few days ago - all the training that you have done so far has prepared you physically to run for 20mins even if you can't quite believe it. Start with a positive mindset and take your time. If I can do it, you can do it! Keep us posted

It sounds daunting but it’s perfectly doable, don’t overthink it, just go out there and do it.....it’s a great confidence booster too as you realise what your body is now capable of 👍 🏃‍♀️
